Best tacos in town and they are packed with protein! Great little place on a strip mall. Service was fast!

Came back here 3 days later the food was good. I didn't realize they close late for Del Mar. staff is friendly and the place is clean! They close at 10:30 which is and they are fast! This place is hidden it's behind the jack in the box. ordered one potato taco, two fish tacos. and a shrimp diablo burrito for a total of $23 I stand by what I said. The potato taco and Diablo shrimp burrito is a staple for us and we'll continue to try something new each time. The menu has plenty of options so I know we won't get sick of anything. I tried the fish tacos that many reviewed. They were good but next time I'll order another shrimp dish!

This Kotija is possibly the best one under their franchise. Not only are the cooks and customer kiosk workers kind and considerate but they're also honest and hard working. I lost my wallet at this location and the staff immediately took it and spent the entire day trying to contact me. This just shows how much they care about their customers and business. To the amazing people at this location, I've been loyal since my freshmen year of high school almost 8-9 years ago, and I will still stay loyal as long as I'm in San Diego. Feliz Kotija Del Mar Plus they just upgraded their menus and interior so the shop looks amazing.

The food and people here absolutely make this an awesome pre or post-beach spot. The manager was so kind when we visited. This is a very casual spot in the middle of a parking lot with a jack in the box and a few other fast food joints. The menu is extensive, and everything we tried here was solid. The carne asada chips were generously covered in meat and guac, as well as cheese and beans. I would've loved for it to be better mixed, as some of the chips at the bottom were quite bare. For the price, you get awesome quality and generous portions. This is a solid quick spot for quality Mexican food.

The best Mexican food in Del Mar. Food is always ready fast. The chipotle shrimp burrito is delicious, just spicy enough. Also the machaca burrito hits the spot. It's filled with beef, eggs and peppers.

Normally when I go to Costco, I hit the food court. lol - but I'm happy I decided to try Kotija! The Vibe: It's in a strip center and not much to the interior, but comfortable for my lunch. Service: super friendly - from both the front and back of the house. Food: I had fish tacos which were delicious and full. The tortillas were good, but not the best I've had. The salsa - both green and red - were flavorful and both had a good kick. So if you're shopping at Costco - take a break from the food court - and try Kotija!

This hole in wall little taco joint has huge, delicious tacos. Yes, you will end up with crema all over your face and it is worth it. We had fish tacos and carne tacos and they were huge. All five salsas were delicious especially if you like it fiery. The ambience is nothing to write home about. They do have hand sanitizer on every table and a gas station style bathroom. I saw lots of locals here on a monday night. Obviously lots of people love this place and i can see why. The prices are very reasonable, $9.60 for the #16 special, 2 fish tacos and a medium drink.
